What is a Nanny?
- A Nanny has sole charge of the children, especially babies. Due to the scale of this responsibility, it is essential for the Nannies to have the appropriate qualifications (e.g. CACHE, NNEB, BTEC ), training and experience to support their application. This to some extent determines the salary paid to the nanny.
- The nanny's net hourly rate ranges from £8 to £15
- A Nanny may choose to live in or out. If they are recruited from abroad then most likely they will live in.
- The family is also responsible to pay the tax and national insurance for the nanny
- If the nanny is required to carry out any housework, this will cost the family extra and negotiable between the nanny and the family.
Mother's Help / Father's Help
- Applicants applying for Mother's Help position must have worked professionally with children.
- The duties will include childcare and light housework.
- They may be responsible for sole charge of the children
- The net hourly rate ranges from £7 to £10.
